While I was excited to hear about Sun Microsystem's purchase of MySQL, I'm now bummed to hear that Oracle has purchased Sun.  Cry

The question is, do you see Oracle turning MySQL into another 'paid' DB system that requires heavy investments of $$$ ?

Or do you see them leaving it pretty much 'as is' and offering it as a stepping stone to their Oracle platform as the user's need grows?
